MATERIALICA 2006
ExtreMat presented itself to R&D representatives and potential users in the European industry

The MATERIALICA is an industrially-orientated suppliers' fair and the meeting place for the international product engineering community in Europe that is looking for innovative materials to create the technical base for the future. Exhibitors have the chance to present the components and methods which will make up the next product generation. MATERIALICA facilitates the direct contact to developers, constructors, designers and purchasers from the fields of automotive engineering, aerospace, mechanical engineering, sports and consumer goods. It provides a competent, international audience for an active and fruitful exchange of knowledge and experience. In 2006, a total of 7.144 visitors came to meet 346 international exhibitors on three fair days from 10 to 12 of October.
Consequently, MATERIALICA 2006 was a perfect platform for presenting the ExtreMat project towards an expert audience from industry and research, and to invite them to benefit from ExtreMat results and join the ExtreMat Industrial User Group.
ExtreMat presented itself with an own stand module as sub-exhibitor on the joint pavilion of Bayern Innovativ. Exhibits covering the range of ExtreMat research were provided by the ExtreMat partners Ansaldo, EADS, Max-Planck Institute of Plasma Physics, Merl, MT Aerospace and Siemens. ExtreMat was represented by staff from Bayern Innovativ, MT Aerospace and Siemens. In addition, SGL Carbon gave a general presentation at the MATERIALICA Forum about its participation in ExtreMat that attracted further audience to the ExtreMat stand.
