11th International Workshop on Plasma-
Facing Materials and Components
for Fusion Applications

PFMC 2006

10. -12. 10. 2006, Max-Planck-Institute for Plasma Physics in Greifswald, Germany
This workshop series, formerly named "International Workshop on Carbon Materials for Fusion Applications", was initiated in 1985 by Forschungszentrum Jülich as a forum for information exchange on carbon based materials for plasma facing applications in nuclear fusion devices.

To date, 10 workshops were organised; 8 of them took place in Jülich, one in Stockholm (1995 organised by KTH and FZJ), and one in Hohenkammer (2000 organised by IPP, Garching and FZJ). To reflect the requirements of the ITER design and the ongoing evolution in the field it was decided to change the name of the workshop from "International Workshop on Carbon Materials for Fusion Applications" to "International Workshop on Plasma-Facing Materials and Components for Fusion Applications".
